So lately on Facebook i've been noticing a bunch of people updating their statuses with respect to the new iPad that Apple are planning to  release in the near future.  I was quite interested myself especially as an artist as it would mean complete control using the muli touch screen that has been taken from the iTouch and iPhone.  It's really a magnificent piece of work and with a screen like that?  Wow.  I've seen laptops with touch sensitive screens before, but my hopes were raised since Apple were going to be making it.  I then went onto youtube to check out the video of Steve Jobs unveiling it to the world for the very first time. Oh man...   So a really good friend of mine from the UK was planning to come to mine over the Summer like she did last year.  It was freakin' amazing and she had such a good holiday, but unfortunately complications have currently arisen.  Obviously i'm pissed off, but i'm not going be rude and disrespectful about it.  I know that a bunch of people know who i'm talking about, but just for the sake of them we'll call her...Stacey.  The basic gist of it is that Stacey's mom doesn't really want her to go due to "complications", well...according to her mom anyways.  Firstly it was due to safety.  I can understand that.  A daughter going overseas o

So today while getting my breakfast in the caf after class, I overheard the news reporter on CNN saying that the Vatican gave Avatar an incredibly bad review despite the amazing praises that the movie has gotten everywhere else.  In my opinion there are obvious reasons why, which even they themselves have stated.  The subject of science is obviously a heavy part of Avatar's story, and of course this means that religion has been ignored completely by James Cameron.  C'mon guys, can't a movie be without religion for one second and receive your praise for what it is?  I don't know.  I'm a Catholic myself (not as much as them), but i'm sure many
